Projects are executed by TOYO group companies, and procurement is carried out to support these projects by utilizing to the fullest the TOYO Procurement Network; this is a network of procurement bases in Japan, Europe, the Americas, South Korea, China and other areas. In order to implement all-out global sourcing, it is indispensable not only to maintain good and sincere relations with capable and competitive suppliers in the developed and developing countries, but to seek new potential suppliers on a constant basis. Every single day, hot negotiations between TOYO's experienced buyers and the suppliers all around the world are going on in each TOYO Procurement Network base.

Management of several tens of thousands of procured items to ensure project success
To place orders for several tens of thousands of items of equipment and materials that constitute a plant and have them delivered on the required date and meeting the quality requirements, it is necessary to implement comprehensive material control that covers the schedule control of fabrication, quality control/ inspection and the transportation to the construction site, by utilizing our global procurement sources. TOYO possesses the organization, human resources and business partners around the world to conduct these tasks that involve more than just placing orders. A flexble approach to meet various project requirements is enhancing our reliable procurement. The fabrication schedule is controlled by constantly monitoring the whole process from order placement to shipment. In this way, we make every effort to ensure delivery by detecting any indications of possible delays and proactively formulating the necessary countermeasures in both in-house personnel and external parties.

The Figure shows the fabrication progress checksheet used to ensure smooth progress management. In the process of managing the schedule for fabrication, TOYO confirms, jointly with the manufacturer at their shop, the fabrication sequences and required schedule for each stage of work to ensure the final delivery. As such, we are also required to possess a sophisticated level of expertise.

TOYO, not only confirms the quality assurance organization of manufacturer, but also inspects and performs tests ourselves during fabrication and after completion from the viewpoints of product safety and performance. By this way, we have been able to ship reliable equipment and materials. |

To transport enormous amounts of equipment and materials efficiently, considering the shop delivery date and the required date on site, a detailed transport plan and flexible measures are required. In particular, when large and heavy equipment to be handled, timely arrangement of special purpose vessels, vehicles is the key to the success of the project. |
