1. Easy-to-use user interface

Komei7 indicates all the information necessary for scheduling in “the Field Management Cockpit”. All the functions necessary for scheduling are shown in the form of a tree diagram in the Explorer Window, enabling the targeted information to be accessed instantly. Gantt chart and graphs can be enlarged and reduced at will, simply by operating the mouse. They are shown in any scale the user desires.

2. Convenient master management

Komei7 places importance on user convenience, as exemplified by the default master function that enables scheduling simply by entering the required master items, sorted data display enabled through the input interface, just like spreadsheet software and data pasting on the master data sheet. The consistency of input data is also confirmed at input, significantly reducing the workload for data checking.

3. Improved assignment function

Komei7 is equipped with functions not only for designating the delivery date, designating the start date, forward-shifting, backward-shifting, designating the process interval, applying resource restrictions, adjusting the finishing time, designating the switchover time, intermediary washing, and designating work to be done on that day, but also with the intermediary inventory reduction logic achieved by backward-shifting prior to the designated process or forward-shifting after the process, making assignments to suit the work shifts and an Undo function to return to the previous step in the assignment calculation.

4. Functional expansion enabled by the three-layered system

Komei7 adopts a three-layered system design comprising a presentation layer, business logic layer and database layer. The object-oriented design keeps the three layers quite independent of each other, significantly enhancing system stability and ease of maintenance. Users may also choose DBMS.

5. Adoption of a development tool with a high degree of freedom

Komei7 uses CrystalReports and others to enable the users create their own slips. Komei7 adopts the .NET Framework to offer a high degree of freedom when developing screens for displaying the results.

6. Visualization Promotion Function to synchronize production tasks

Komei7 adopts Smart Client Architecture to facilitate the Komei7 Smart Viewer function (optional) that provides a web-based feeling as well as sophisticated screen rendition and operability. Komei7 offers the optional Komei7 Smart KPI function that displays the key performance indices (KPI) using Excel and other software. Assignment evaluation graphs are used to help determine the policies for planning.

7. Interlinked environment with ERP/SCP/MES/WMS and other systems

• The standard interface is provided to enable information exchange with CSV.
• Also capable of information exchange with XML.
• Know-how related to extensive experience in linkage with other systems is offered, including R/3 of SAP, MCFrame of Toyo Business Engineering Corporation and TPiCS of TPiCS Laboratory, Inc.(Japanese only).
