MILOX®: Pipeless Production System

Summary

In this system, the tanks are moved to the switching lines.
It can be referred to as the prototype of the production system that uses the flexible arrangement of modules, and is generally referred to as a tank mobile system.
Since facilities to transfer the tanks are needed (traverse, AGV and others), the size of the tank needs to be restricted.
In many cases, the system is suitable for manufacturing sites where the main process is mixing.

Features

The tank moves from the raw-material charging station to the mixing station and filling station in that order. At the charging station, several raw-materials are fed in. At the mixing station, the prescribed mixing procedures are performed. At the filling station, the tank is connected to the filling machine, which discharges its contents.
Since the system requires the tank to move around, the weight to be transported is limited to about three ton in many cases. Care must also be taken with the building design as spaces for transporting and for the tank to be on stand-by are needed.
